My studies started at the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Panama, where I obtained my first professional degree as Doctor of Medicine (2005).
I completed a specialization in Internal Medicine and a sub-specialization in Gastroenterology and Digestive Endoscopy (2009-2015) in the Dr. Arnulfo Arias Madrid Metropolitan Hospital Complex of the Social Security Fund of Panama, being the Chief Resident in my last year of training.
During this year I also participated in a Hepatology Observership program at the University of Miami / Jackson Memorial Hospital, in the city of Miami (United States). I was representative for Latin America in the CoA of the American College of Physicians (2012-2013).
Later I completed a Master in Hepatology / Hepatic Transplantation and a PhD in Medical Research at the Hospital Clinic / Universitat de Barcelona, Spain (2015-2018), in which I participated actively and attended multiple international conferences as a presenter of research papers scientific
